A. 目的. This policy ensures that the use of any unmanned aircraft system for University business complies with federal, 状态, 以及当地的规章制度.

C. 定义

C-1. Certification of Waiver; Certificate of Authorization (“COA”) means a Federal Aviation Administration grant of approval for a specific unmanned aircraft flight operation. 14 CFR Part 107下的UAS标准使用不需要COA.

C-7. 无人驾驶飞机系统 (“UAS”) means an aircraft that is operated without the possibility of direct human intervention from within or on the aircraft 和 associated elements (including communication links 和 the components that control the unmanned aircraft) that are required for the pilot in comm和 to operate safely 和 efficiently in the navigable airspace of the United States under the regulatory authority of the Federal Aviation Administration (“FAA”).

E. 保险

E-1. 需要责任保险. UAS liability insurance is required before any UAS activity by a 负责任的政党 may be carried out.

E-2. UAS归大学所有. A UAS owned by the university must be added to the University’s insurance coverage via the Risk Management website before any flights are conducted.

E-3. 不属于大学所有. A 负责任的政党 using a UAS not owned by the University must provide proof of insurance coverage that lists the University as a covered party 和 provides coverage that meets the requirements set by the 状态 of Idaho.

F-2. UAS建议使用审查
